Pastor: Aaron Linville
Dear Millwoods Community Church,
By now, you know that I have accepted the call to be your pastor, so let me share a few things about myself and my family to help us learn more about each other. I was born into the Union Cross Moravian congregation just outside of Winston-Salem, NC. I grew up attending Union Cross and summer camp at Laurel Ridge. My journey to ordained ministry began as a call to attend Moravian Theological Seminary. Before moving to Bethlehem, I attended Lees-McRae College, a small, liberal arts college in the mountains of North Carolina where I earned degrees in both History and Religious Studies. I spent the following few years working towards a Master of Divinity and graduated from Moravian Theological Seminary in May of 2013.
That fall, Amy and I were married after dating for 5 years. Shortly after, I began working at New Philadelphia Moravian Church as their Pastoral Intern. I also enjoyed volunteering with the Anthony’s Plot community as they served their neighborhood and the homeless community in Winston-Salem. I began serving as pastor to Rural Hall Moravian on November 2, 2014. Amy and I are the happy parents of two cats, Erdmuthe and Komensky, and one dog, Goose (feel free to ask about their names). Amy recently graduated with her Master of Library and Information Sciences, and enjoys crocheting and all things that deal with words and books. I enjoy vegetable gardening and recently picked up wood turning as a hobby. We both look forward to meeting you on November 4, and serving the Lamb of God with you in the coming years.
Peace, Aaron & Amy Linville
Music Director: Katie Tilbury
Katie is a pianist and musician who is passionate about the community
that music creates. Born and raised in Lacombe, Ab., Katie began
studying piano at a young age, playing on worship teams throughout
high school and leading worship at her church. She moved to
Edmonton three years ago and recently completed a Bachelor of Music
degree in classical piano from the University of Alberta. She also holds
a Music Diploma in Piano Performance from Red Deer College.
Katie works as a piano teacher, vocal coach, and choir accompanist
around the city of Edmonton. If she is not humming a tune, you can
find her spending time with friends, family, or painting. In 2018 Katie
travelled to Phnom Penh, Cambodia where she lived for two months.
While there, she collaborated with local missionaries to teach piano and
art in the local villages.
Katie is looking forward to getting to know everyone at Millwoods
Community Church; she feels extremely blessed to be part of God’s
vision for MWCC.
