“I don’t want you to do the dishes; I want you to want to do the dishes…”  Perhaps we’ve heard this said before a movie, or referenced within a relationship – the key is not always what we do but why we do it!  This is often the case with our relationship with God – too often we become slaves to traditions and lose out on the real reason we take part in those traditions in the first place.  God doesn’t want our sacrifices, rather he wants our hearts and our motivations; a people who want to serve him, not who simply feel obligated to do so.
